PANGKALPINANG – Starting from a simple business selling other people’s chips, Hadisti Florina has now successfully developed her own product, "DISTI Baked Cassava Chips".
Hadisti has developed oven-baked chips that are different from the usual ones. While most people make chips by frying them, her unique processing method results in a distinct flavor.
Her long journey as an MSME entrepreneur has been driven by a spirit of innovation and support from PT Timah’s partnership program, which has paved the way for her business to enter souvenir markets and modern retail stores.
Hadisti recalls the early days of her business, when she only sold her chips at small stores near schools. However, her steps became more confident after becoming a fostered partner of PT Timah.
"In the past, we only sold chips in small stores, but after partnering with PT Timah, our business grew significantly. Now, our products can be found in souvenir shops and modern retail stores," she said.
For Hadisti, becoming a fostered partner of PT Timah was not difficult. PT Timah’s Micro and Small Business Funding Program (PUMK) was a breath of fresh air for her business. Thanks to the financial assistance, her revenue has continued to increase.
"The requirements were not burdensome, and we truly felt the benefits. Our revenue has gradually increased," she stated.
Beyond funding, Hadisti has also had valuable opportunities to participate in MSME bazaars and various training sessions that have enhanced her skills in growing her business. She continues to innovate and plans to process cassava peels into higher-value products in the future.
The journey of "DISTI Baked Cassava Chips" proves that with the right support, local MSMEs can grow and develop even further. Collaboration with PT Timah is not just about financial aid but also a driving force that encourages entrepreneurs to keep progressing and innovating.
