PANGKALPINANG -- As many as 36 students from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Islands Province, and Riau Province have passed the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship class program selection at SMAN 1 Pemali for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
The PT Timah Tbk scholarship class program selection process has been going on since last April. A total of 257 students enrolled in the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship Class program.
In order to pass to the end, participants must take part in a series of selection activities such as administrative tests, Academic Potential, Psychological tests, interviews, Clinical Psychology, and medical tests.
One of the students accepted by Dewi Padilla from SMPN 3 Kundur Barat admitted that she was very happy to be able to pass the scholarship class program. The reason is, this second child of three siblings admits that the competition to take part in the selection is quite tight.
"I'm really happy, I can't say anything. I was pessimistic because there were a lot of competitors, the test wasn't easy either. But thankfully I was able to go through and pass," she said, Thursday (6/15/2023).
She said that he had hoped for a long time to be able to study at SMAN 1 Pemali, study and pray continuously. Guided by teachers at school. She was determined to be accepted into this scholarship class program.
"I was also guided by the teacher at school, preparations were made from the start because the grades on the report cards were also affected. I wanted to help ease the burden on my parents for my education so I studied," she said.
For Dewi, besides being able to help reduce the cost of education, through this program, she wants to improve her abilities and gain experience by traveling.
"I want to find experience, learn and forge myself, learn better," she said.
