PANGKALPINANG -- Deputy Head of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Regulatory Agency, Aminuddin Ma’ruf, conducted a working visit to PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk to monitor the company’s performance and evaluate the progress of the streamlining program as part of the transformation and optimization of the national tin industry ecosystem.
Aminuddin Ma’ruf was directly welcomed by the Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, Fina Eliani, on Thursday (May 14, 2026).
This visit is part of the SOEs Regulatory Agency’s efforts to oversee the transformation of strategic state-owned enterprises to become more focused, efficient, and competitive amid the dynamics of the global mining industry.
Through regular monitoring and evaluation, the agency encourages PT TIMAH’s transformation and streamlining efforts to create a more agile, focused, efficient, and competitive business structure, while also strengthening the company’s fundamentals in facing global mining industry challenges.
In his remarks, Aminuddin Ma’ruf emphasized that the government is currently prioritizing two main agendas in SOE transformation: downstreaming and corporate streamlining.
“At present, our primary focus is on two areas: downstreaming and streamlining. The target for completing the streamlining program is this year, in line with the President’s directive,” he said.
He explained that the streamlining program aims to strengthen the company’s business focus by returning SOEs to their respective core businesses, including evaluating subsidiaries that are not aligned with the company’s main line of business.
On the same occasion, Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, Fina Eliani, presented the performance achievements of the company and its subsidiaries, as well as explained the group’s business structure.
Fina stated that PT TIMAH continues to strengthen its integrated business management from upstream to downstream by implementing Good Mining Practice, strong corporate governance, occupational safety, and sustainable environmental management.
The tin mining business line is directly managed by PT TIMAH Tbk, while the downstream tin sector is handled through PT Timah Industri, based in Cilegon, which produces tin chemicals and tin solder.
Meanwhile, non-tin mining activities are carried out through PT Timah Investasi Mineral, which operates in the nickel mining sector, and PT TAJ, which is engaged in coal mining.
In addition, competency-based business lines are managed by several subsidiaries, including Indometal London Limited as a marketing agent in Europe and the Americas, PT Dok dan Perkapalan Air Kantung in the shipyard sector, PT Timah Agro Manunggal in reclamation, and PT Timah Karya Persada Properti in the property sector.
