Through the Micro Small Business Funding Program (PUMK) PT TIMAH Tbk has helped capital in the form of revolving funds for thousands of MSMEs from 2000 until 2022.
In the past 22 years, PT TIMAH Tbk has supported 9,787 MSME players who have become PT TIMAH Tbk's fostered partners. The fostered partners of PT TIMAH Tbk are spread across the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Islands Province, Riau Province, West Java, Banten, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
PT TIMAH Tbk's PUMK program is one of the CSR programs to help foster partners to develop and be independent. The fostered partners are also provided with facilities such as low administrative services.
In fact, the MSME actors who take advantage of the PUMK program and become PT TIMAH Tbk's fostered partners have succeeded in developing their businesses and are able to absorb the workforce of the community in their environment.
In addition to providing capital, PT TIMAH Tbk also provides training by providing training such as digital-based financial management training, ecoprint training, and comparative studies to develop MSME products.
In terms of marketing, PT TIMAH Tbk also facilitates fostered partners to market their products at TINS ??Gallery, Sebalai Serumpun Gallery, and various exhibitions at local and national levels.
One of PT TIMAH Tbk's fostered partners, Herawati, who owns a key citrus drink product with the Mirando brand, said she had known PUMK PT TIMAH Tbk since 2014.
"Alhamdulillah, now the turnover is decent, my products are also getting known because PT TIMAH Tbk often invites me to exhibitions to promote products, besides that PT TIMAH Tbk also often buys products and also makes parcels," he said some time ago.
According to him, there are many benefits that he gets after becoming a foster partner of PT TIMAH Tbk, one of which is that he can realize having a production house so as to increase production capacity.
"Now that I have a production house, thanks to a capital loan from PT TIMAH Tbk, I also use it to add production equipment," he said.
Similarly, Pitriningsih, one of PT TIMAH Tbk's fostered partners who sell Pantiau Pipiet products, said that by becoming PT TIMAH Tbk's fostered partner, he could increase his product marketing area.
"At first I only focused on selling in Sungailiat because there were no vehicles if I wanted to go to Pangkalan Pinang to take this orphanage. Finally, after receiving capital from PT Timah Tbk, I bought a vehicle and now I can market products to markets in Pangkalpinang," he said.
In addition to adding vehicles, from this capital he has a larger rice grinding machine and a fish grinding machine. It can also add to its workforce because its production is increasing. (**)
