SOUTH BANGKA – The South Bangka Regency Government has expressed its appreciation for PT Timah’s continuous contributions to supporting regional development and improving community welfare.
This recognition was conveyed by the Deputy Regent of South Bangka, Debby Vita Dewi, during PT Timah’s Ramadan Safari event held in the South Bangka Area, specifically in Toboali, on Friday (March 21, 2025).
On this occasion, Debby also extended her gratitude to PT Timah's President Director, Ahmad Dani Virsal, who attended the event and personally distributed social assistance to the people of South Bangka.
"On behalf of the South Bangka Regency Government, I extend my deepest gratitude and highest appreciation to the President Director of PT Timah for being present. This is truly a blessing for us during this iftar gathering, and we deeply feel its positive impact on the people of South Bangka," said Debby.
Debby emphasized that the South Bangka Regency Government is committed to supporting, collaborating, and working with PT Timah to implement various programs to enhance community welfare.
"We sincerely appreciate the many CSR initiatives that have assisted us and our community. Hopefully, we can continue working together effectively, and we wish for PT Timah’s continued success and growth," she added.
During the Ramadan Safari event in South Bangka, PT Timah provided various forms of social assistance, including 950 food packages for the elderly, financial aid for 350 orphans, scholarships for seven tahfiz students, and scholarships for 20 outstanding children of PT Timah employees. Additionally, fruit tree seedlings were distributed to the youth organization of Tukak Village and the Berkah Farmers Group.
Sulimah, a resident of Gadung Village and one of the aid recipients expressed her gratitude for the food package she received from PT Timah.
"I am delighted. Alhamdulillah, this food assistance has been very helpful. I hope to receive more support in the future, and may PT Timah continue to be blessed," she said.
Similarly, Herman Saputra, a parent of one of the scholarship recipients, expressed his gratitude for PT Timah’s support for his child’s academic achievements.
"Alhamdulillah, this serves as great motivation for children to study even harder. May PT Timah continue to prosper and succeed," he concluded. (*)
