JAKARTA -- PT Timah Tbk received the Indonesia Best CSR Award 2023 which was organized by The Iconomics and LPP RRI at the LPP RRI Indonesia Hall, Thursday (25/5/2023).
This award is a form of appreciation for companies in Indonesia that have carried out environmental social responsibility (TJSL) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which has an impact on society.
Through this award, it is hoped that it can encourage companies in Indonesia to be able to carry out CSR which has a positive impact through a real contribution to society.
PT Timah Tbk's Corporate Communications Head, Anggi Siahaan said, in implementing the company's CSR program it is not only carrying out obligations but also trying to encourage and increase the economic independence of the community around the mining area.
Anggi added, PT Timah Tbk as a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding also upholds the MIND ID Group Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment in responding to challenges and sustainable business processes.
"PT Timah Tbk is a company that grows and develops with the community, through our CSR program that is aligned with the SDGs values, the company seeks to provide benefits and values ??to support community independence," said Anggi.
Throughout 2022, PT Timah Tbk distributed funds worth IDR 33 billion for CSR which was carried out in several programs such as fishing grounds, coral gardens, capacity building for indigenous peoples, social security for vulnerable and disabled groups, and others.
