BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk has been awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Bangka Regency Government for being a tax-compliant taxpayer in the rural, urban, business, and property tax sectors.
The award was presented by the Acting Regent of Bangka, M. Haris, to the Head of the Tax Division of the Accounting Division of PT Timah Tbk, Safriadi, at the ST 12 Hotel Ballroom in Sungailiat, Bangka, on Tuesday (19/12/2023).
This recognition is a form of appreciation from the Bangka Regency Government for the achievements in rural and urban land and building tax (PBB-P2) for the year 2023, given to villages, sub-districts, districts, and corporate taxpayers.
As reported on the official website of the Bangka Regency Government, www.bangka.go.id, Acting Regent M. Haris expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation to the taxpayers who have supported the regional government in realizing the 2023 property tax targets.
M. Haris explained that the regional government is highly dependent on property tax to support Regional Original Revenue (PAD), and the largest component of revenue comes from taxes and levies.
"As government officials, we are obliged to provide the best service to the community because everything we use, we receive every month, even every day comes from the people's money paid in taxes," Haris explained.
M. Haris also requested that the updating of data for levies and taxes continue to be carried out so that the real conditions in the field are well-documented.
Public awareness is crucial for achieving PAD targets; therefore, clear information and understanding need to be provided to the public so that next year's PAD target can be achieved.
Previously, PT Timah Tbk also received a similar award from the Bangka Barat Regency Government for its contribution to supporting the increase in regional income through taxation.
The Certificate of Appreciation was presented by the Deputy Regent of Bangka Barat, Bong Ming Ming, to the Head of the Mentok Metallurgy Unit of PT Timah Tbk, Ebbi Wibisana, at the Graha Aparatur Building of the Bangka Barat Regency Government on Tuesday (12/12/2023).
This award for a tax-compliant corporate taxpayer is an appreciation from the Bangka Barat Regency Government for taxpayers who have faithfully fulfilled their tax obligations, contributing to the achievement of tax revenue targets in Bangka Barat Regency. (*)
