BANGKA TENGAH -- PT Timah distributed sacrificial animals to the community in Central Bangka Regency. The symbolic handover was carried out to Central Bangka Regent Algafry Rahman at the Regent’s Official Residence Pavilion on Tuesday (June 3, 2025).
As a member of the Mining Industry Indonesia Holding, MIND ID, PT Timah handed over a total of 25 sacrificial animals in Central Bangka Regency, which will be distributed to several villages.
Algafry expressed his appreciation for the donation of sacrificial animals from PT Timah, which will be allocated to villages in the Central Bangka Regency area.
"Thank you to PT Timah for providing sacrificial animals for the community. PT Timah has contributed a lot, and I hope they continue to be blessed with more sustenance," he said.
He also emphasized that this is not the first time PT Timah has given such support.
"This is not the first year PT Timah has made contributions. They have been doing it for a long time. PT Timah hands them over to the regional government, and we distribute them to 12 villages in need. On Saturday, the meat will be distributed to those who need it," he explained.
The symbolic handover ceremony was also attended by Central Bangka Deputy Regent Efrianda and village heads from across the regency.
The Village Head of Tanjung Gunung, Muslim, also expressed his gratitude for PT Timah’s consistent support of village communities through the distribution of sacrificial animals.
"Thank you to PT Timah, not just for this year. They have been helping us for a long time. We will focus the distribution of the sacrificial meat on families dealing with stunting issues. Thank you, PT Timah. We hope you continue to thrive," said Muslim.
This distribution of sacrificial animals is part of PT Timah’s ongoing commitment to contributing to social and community activities, particularly in celebrating Eid al-Adha, while strengthening the synergy between the company, local governments, and communities.
