WEST BANGKA -- PT TIMAH Tbk has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the recovery of community health, particularly for residents who require special attention.
Through its Processing and Refinery Division, PT TIMAH Tbk delivered assistance to Rendi, an elderly resident of Dusun IV Ranggam, Belo Laut Village, who is currently neglected and has a history of serious illness.
The assistance was handed over by the Division Head of Processing and Refinery, Sofian Simangunsong, to the Head of Dusun IV Belo Laut, Rusmika, on Tuesday (November 18, 2025).
Rendi is currently a client of the Social Protection House (RPS) managed by the West Bangka Regency Government and is undergoing health recovery.
The local government, together with relevant agencies, plans to transfer Rendi to the Srikandi Lampung Foundation Social Welfare Institution so he can receive more intensive rehabilitation.
The Head of Dusun IV Belo Laut, Rusmika, stated that the assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk will be used to support Rendi’s rehabilitation process.
“The assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk will be utilized for the rehabilitation of our resident who is sick and neglected. Rendi will be taken to Lampung to receive more serious treatment at the rehabilitation center. Medical treatment has also been provided here beforehand,” he explained.
Rusmika expressed his gratitude and appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s continuous support for the residents in his village.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you very much to PT TIMAH Tbk. The company has helped our residents in many ways, from health assistance and community activities to food aid packages. We hope PT TIMAH Tbk continues to grow and succeed,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Social Affairs and Village Administration Office of West Bangka Regency, Akhmad Nursandi, also expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s concern for their assisted residents.
“We appreciate PT TIMAH Tbk for its assistance to our client who is being cared for at the Social Protection House. Next, Rendi will be sent to the Srikandi Lampung Foundation for further rehabilitation,” he said.
