PT Timah is collaborating with the Education Office of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, the Pemali Boarding School management, SMAN 1 Pemali, and the Center for Psychological Innovation of Padjadjaran University, Bandung, to carry out the selection process.
The selection stages include administrative screening, field surveys, academic potential tests, psychological tests, interviews, clinical psychology assessments, document validation, and health tests.
As reported, a total of 248 students from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Islands Province, and Riau Province have registered for the PT Timah Scholarship Class Program at SMAN 1 Pemali for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The number of applicants for the 2025 PT Timah Scholarship Class has increased compared to the previous year. This shows the growing enthusiasm among students to join PT Timah’s scholarship class.
The Head of the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Education Office, Ervawi, previously stated that the presence of the PT Timah Scholarship Class Program is a form of PT Timah’s contribution to supporting education in the region.
“PT Timah consistently implements the scholarship class program at SMAN 1 Pemali. All accepted students are fully facilitated and receive free education. This is PT Timah’s concrete effort to support the education of our nation’s youth,” he said.
Meanwhile, Anggi Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT Timah, stated that the PT Timah Scholarship Class selection process is conducted transparently and accountably, involving multiple parties.
Anggi emphasized that the PT Timah Scholarship Class Program is intended for high-achieving students from low-income families.
“The selection is transparently involving PT Timah, the Bangka Belitung Education Office, Padjadjaran University’s Psychology Innovation Center, SMAN 1 Pemali, and dormitory management. All selection processes are free of charge, and official information is provided through the official PPDB website,” said Anggi. (*)
