PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah remains committed to creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. One of the ways the company ensures this is by regularly conducting Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or K3 Safety Assemblies at its operational sites.
These routine K3 assemblies are not just a symbol of work discipline but also a vital part of building a strong OHS culture within the company. Workplace safety is a top priority.
The K3 assemblies are held periodically across various operational areas and are attended by employees. During these assemblies, employees receive guidance on safety procedures, hazard mitigation and evaluation, and standard operational protocols that must be implemented during work.
This week, for example, K3 assemblies were held at the Processing and Refinery Division in Mentok, West Bangka Regency, and in South Bangka.
Through these assemblies, the company aims to foster high awareness among all workers regarding the importance of workplace safety, which is an integral part of the company’s work culture.
"Workplace safety is our top priority. The company continues to integrate OHS into every aspect of its operations," said PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan.
Anggi added that in addition to regular assemblies, the company also conducts emergency response training, evacuation drills, and internal OHS audits to ensure all procedures are effectively implemented.
With consistent commitment to and implementation of OHS practices, the company hopes to create a safe and comfortable work environment that sustainably boosts productivity.
