PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of human resources through various education-focused programs, ranging from primary education to higher education.
The company’s support in the education sector is part of its broader effort to nurture outstanding and competitive future generations in support of Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045 vision.
Through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, PT TIMAH Tbk consistently delivers a range of educational initiatives, including assistance for school facilities and infrastructure, support for teaching and learning activities, and financial aid for high-achieving students.
At the higher education level, PT TIMAH Tbk provides financial and accommodation assistance to outstanding students within its operational areas.
In 2025, PT TIMAH Tbk granted higher education financial assistance to 40 students, including 33 beneficiaries of the PT TIMAH Tbk Scholarship Class Dormitory Program who successfully passed the 2025 National Achievement-Based Selection (SNBP). This support was provided as an appreciation for their academic achievements and to help them continue their studies at the university level.
In addition, PT TIMAH Tbk also provided financial and accommodation assistance to seven students from Bangka Belitung who are currently pursuing their studies at the Coal Mining Industry Community Academy (AKIPBA) in Muara Enim, South Sumatra.
This educational support is expected to ease the financial burden on students and ensure the continuity of their studies in fields relevant to industry needs.
This initiative aligns with PT TIMAH Tbk’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in improving the quality of education and developing human resources.
One of the program beneficiaries, Ana, shared that she is currently studying Civil Engineering at the University of Bangka Belitung (UBB).
Amid her family’s financial limitations and the significant costs of higher education, she expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided by PT TIMAH Tbk.
“This assistance is very helpful for me, as I will use it to cover my college expenses, such as buying books and paying tuition fees,” she said.
She added that as an alumna of the PT Timah Pemali Boarding School Program, the company has played a significant role in supporting her educational journey.
“PT TIMAH Tbk has supported my education in so many ways. We were funded since high school, and Alhamdulillah, now I am receiving assistance again,” she said.
