KUNDUR -- PT Timah continues to be committed to implementing K3 Culture in carrying out the company's business processes. This is an effort to ensure business practices are carried out by the Mining Safety Management System.
One of the things that is most often carried out is holding roll calls and joint inspections which are carried out in each of the Company's operational areas.
The Kundur Operations Area held a Call and Joint Inspection in the yard of the Smelting and Refining Factory Office, on Friday (16/8/2024).
This Joint Call and Inspection was attended by all employees, representatives of employees on the Dredger and Production Suction Ship. Not only that, the Person in Charge of Operations (PJO) KIP Mitra was also invited to take part in this activity.
Through this activity, it is hoped that it can increase awareness of employees and company business partners about the importance of maintaining the safety of themselves, other people, and work equipment. So it can prevent accidents during activities at work.
This activity is also a concrete step in implementing the rules and circular from the Director of Engineering and Environment / Chief Inspector of Mines No.10E/MB.07/DBT.KP/2024 dated 13 August 2024 concerning Learning on Mining Safety Cases for July 2024 and Orders for Morning Calls and Joint Inspections in Efforts to Increase Awareness and Prevention of Mining Accidents and Dangerous Events.
Head of Corporate Communications at PT Timah, Anggi Siahaan, said that PT Timah management is very focused on work safety and expects all employees and business partners of the company to comply with and implement the K3 Policy that has been established and applied in the company.
