Commitment to Implementing the TJSL Program, PT Timah Again Received an Award from the Central Bangka Regency Government

CENTRAL BANGKA -- The Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program carried out by PT Tmah is implemented sustainably in the Company's operational areas.

In implementing the TJSL program, PT Timah also aligns it with the Regional Government's development plans in each operational area.

This is in line with PT Timah's 2019-2029 Community Development and Empowerment Master Plan (RIPPM).

PT Timah's commitment to implementing the TJSL program was once again appreciated by the Central Bangka Regency Government.

The Regent of Central Bangka, Algafry Rahman, handed over an award to PT Timah as a CSR Partner in the category of Sustainability Report Submission for the 2023-2024 Period.

This award was presented by the Regent of Central Bangka Algafry Rahman in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordination Meeting or Corporate Social Environmental Responsibility (TJSLP) with CSR/TJSLP partners throughout Central Bangka in the VIP Meeting Room of the Central Bangka Regent's Office, Thursday (18/07 /2024).

Algafry awarded CSR/TJSLP Partners with the 2023 Sustainable Report Award and Development Harmony Award categories.

Reporting from the official page bangkatengahkab.go.id, Algafty said that the role of CSR/TSLP partners is very important for the development of Central Bangka Regency, especially in improving the quality of education, health services, developing public facilities and infrastructure, as well as strengthening the people's economy.

"CSR partners also contribute to expanding employment opportunities, strengthening the social protection system, and developing the tourism sector, all of which have one main goal, namely improving the welfare of the people in Selawang Segantang State," said Algafry.

Algafry revealed that based on the realization reports of 30 company partners received by the Bateng Regency Government throughout 2023, the realization of CSR/TJSLP assistance collected amounted to IDR 8,487,066,085.00.

"This shows the great contribution and dedication of the company in supporting community welfare through CSR/TJSLP and we as the Bateng Regency Government appreciate what has been provided to accelerate existing development," he said.

The Regent of Bateng also said that in 2024, the Bateng Regency Government has prepared several superior programs that can be aligned with the Company's CSR/TJSLP program.

"Among them are health programs and stunting management, extreme poverty eradication programs, people's economic programs, the tourism sector and the social sector," he explained.

He emphasized that harmony and synergy between the Regional Government as facilitator and coordinator connecting community needs with CSR/TJSLP Partners is a crucial component so that CSR/TJSLP programs can be maximized, optimal, efficient, transparent, and touch vital aspects in community life.

"The strength of CSR is an important catalyst in realizing a Central Bangka that is increasingly superior and competitive. "Let's create a positive transformation through CSR that is right on target and strengthen the foundation for a better and brighter future for Central Bangka," he stressed.

PT Timah has also implemented several programs that are in line with the Central Bangka Regency Government's road map, including the Kemunting Program to reduce the prevalence of stunting, the Healthy Car program to provide health services for the community.

In the education sector, PT Timah also has an educational scholarship program and infrastructure improvements for formal and informal education facilities. (*)
