BANGKA -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to intensify its training programs as part of its efforts to enhance employee competence. One of these initiatives is the implementation of In-House Training programs, including Training of Trainers (TOT), First Aid (P3K) Training certified by the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower, and Technical Training on SOP Development.
This integrated training program for PT TIMAH Tbk employees was officially opened by PT TIMAH Tbk Director of Human Resources, Ratih Mayasari, and was attended by the Head of the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Manpower Office, Elius Gani; Director of PT Mitra Sinergi Internasional, Rini Apriliani; as well as a team of instructors from PT Fresh Galang Mandiri. The event took place at the Pemali Learning Center of PT TIMAH Tbk on Tuesday (January 27, 2026).
Ratih Mayasari stated that the three training themes have strategic value for the company’s operations. The TOT program is designed to produce reliable internal instructors who are capable of transferring knowledge and skills to other PT TIMAH Tbk employees.

Meanwhile, the SOP development training is intended to ensure that every business process has systematic and applicable work guidelines, rather than merely serving as administrative documents.
In addition, she said that First Aid (P3K) training is very important and is a basic skill that employees must possess in order to handle various potential risks such as disasters and other emergencies.
“SOPs may look simple, but when something happens and an inspection is carried out, the first thing that is reviewed is the SOP. Creating SOPs is not easy because it requires an understanding of business processes and ensuring they can be applied in the field,” she explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Manpower Office, Elius Gani, expressed his appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s commitment to providing First Aid training as part of the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3), which is an application of Law Number 1 of 1970 concerning Work Safety.
“We hope that K3 truly becomes a work culture. With better knowledge and competence, workers can detect potential risks early and know what to do if an accident occurs,” said Elius Gani.
He also expressed his hope that PT TIMAH Tbk will continue to maintain consistency in implementing training programs, especially K3, in order to achieve the target of zero accidents in the workplace.
The benefits of this training were felt directly by employees, especially those working in the field. As conveyed by Andre Kasaputra, the First Aid training is very crucial for mining workers.
“This training is extremely meaningful because conditions in the field demand a high level of emergency preparedness. If an accident occurs, we are the first party to respond and provide assistance so that the risk does not become more severe,” said the man who is assigned to the South Bangka Area.
He hopes that similar training, such as TOT and emergency response training, can be conducted regularly so that all field personnel remain competent in carrying out their duties. (*)
