KARIMUN -- In the spirit of commemorating the 97th Youth Pledge Day in 2025, PT TIMAH Tbk invited students from SMPN 2 Kundur Utara and SMPN 4 Satu Atap Tebing in Karimun Regency to celebrate the occasion through a series of creative activities.
Through the program titled “Socialization and Education on Youth Spirit, Introduction to PT TIMAH Tbk, Anti-Bullying Education, and Macrame Creativity Workshop,” PT TIMAH Tbk aimed to instill youth values, foster creativity, and build awareness of the importance of a healthy and respectful social environment.
The event was enthusiastically attended by students and teachers. Activities included games, an introduction to the company profile, an anti-bullying awareness session, information on the Pemali Boarding School program, and a macrame craft workshop.
The Principal of SMPN 4 Satu Atap Tebing, Karimun Regency, Dila Agustini, expressed her appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s visit to their school to share knowledge and joy with the students.
“Thank you to PT TIMAH Tbk for visiting and reaching out to us in this remote area. Today we welcome guests full of knowledge who are here to share. So take and absorb as much as you can, because it will surely be useful. Understand and make the most of this opportunity,” she said.
She also expressed her hopes that PT TIMAH Tbk will continue to thrive and contribute to supporting education in local communities.
Similarly, the Principal of SMPN 2 Kundur Utara, Nurrifda, shared her enthusiasm for the activities organized by PT TIMAH Tbk, especially the session on bullying prevention, which remains a concern in schools.
“Thank you for choosing our school to host this activity. We hope this program will have a positive impact on our students. As we know, bullying can happen in schools, so it’s important to learn how to minimize it,” she said.
During the event, she also informed students about PT TIMAH Tbk’s educational scholarship program for high school level students through the Pemali Boarding School, which is based in the Bangka Belitung Islands but also open to students from Karimun Regency.
“PT TIMAH Tbk offers the Pemali Boarding School scholarship program, giving students the opportunity to study on Bangka Island. Make the most of this chance to learn and ask questions,” she encouraged.
