PANGKALPINANG -- Commemorating the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Timah held a ceremony to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which was held at the PT Timah Head Office Yard on Saturday (17/8/2024).
This ceremony was also held throughout PT Timah's operational areas to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme 'New Archipelago, Advanced Indonesia'
Director of Operations and Production of PT Timah Nur Adi Kuncoro acted as inspector of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony at PT Timah Head Office.
Timah people looked solemn following a series of flag ceremonies which started at 07.00 WIB.
PT Timah HR Director Hendra Kusuma Wardana invited Timah people to interpret the momentum of Independence Day to continue the struggle of the heroes and fulfill independence by working well to restore Tin's glory.
According to him, tin is one of Indonesia's mainstay commodities which plays a role in supporting the country's progress.
"Nusantara Baru, Advanced Indonesia, whatever we did in the past was a direction towards a new and advanced future. Now the people of Timah must have new thoughts about a new Indonesia and a glorious tin," he said.
According to him, Timah people must also emulate the figure of National Hero Depati Amir who fought at that time for Indonesian independence.
Likewise, Acting Corporate Secretary of PT Timah Rendy Kurniawan said, in the momentum of independence, he invited the Timah people to restore the glory of tin.
"We hope that the situation in the future will be better. On the momentum of August 17, we will remember the struggle of the founders and figures of the country. This is the momentum to restore the glory of tin. Interpret the struggle of the heroes of Depati Amir, how to protect their region, and provide resistance. We interpret the struggle so that we can be strong in together to restore the glory of tin," he said. (*)
