Commemorating National K3 Month, PT Timah Tbk Provides K3 Refreshments for Business Partners

WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk is committed to implementing K3 in the company's business processes. One of the efforts made to strengthen the implementation of K3 is by holding a K3 Refreshment for business partners.

This K3 Refreshment activity is also part of a series of National K3 Commemoration activities that were held at Wisma Sriwijaya, Muntok Metallurgical Unit, West Bangka Regency, Thursday (19/1/2020).

The OHS Refreshment presents the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Junior Mining Inspector Anwar Bina Ginting, PT Timah Tbk's business partners within the Metallurgical Unit.

Anwar Bina Ginting said that the OSH Refreshment was important to remind the importance of implementing OSH in carrying out work, mapping potential risks that could cause work accidents.

"Refreshment activities for business partners that have been carried out by PT Timah like this are important and really really need to be implemented. Because this will remind us of what are the potentials that can cause work accidents," he said.

He hopes that this activity can be carried out routinely, so that prevention can also be done early on.

"We also need to formulate programs to improve occupational safety and health according to regulations, and need to evaluate the implementation of K3 culture," he said.

Furthermore, he explained that based on statistical data, the application of K3 within PT Timah Tbk's Muntok Metallurgical Unit was already good, but it still had to be improved and implemented consistently.

"The implementation of OSH at Unmet is good, it only needs to make improvements in terms of guidance and supervision of OSH and it is hoped that it will be carried out consistently," he hoped.

Meanwhile, PT Timah Tbk's business partners from CV Jiddan Jaya Berkah Handoko said this activity was important for them because it reminded them of K3 culture.

"We, PT Timah Business Partners, thank PT Timah and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for carrying out this activity, this activity refreshes the K3 culture. As partners, we are also responsible for paying attention to work safety, both from the results of the work and from the workers themselves," he said.
