Commemorating Kartini Day, PT Timah Employees Visit Women Koran Teachers in Muntok

WEST BANGKA – April 21 is celebrated as Kartini Day, a female figure who speaks loudly about women's emancipation. Commemorating Kartini Day in 2022, PT Timah Tbk employees gave gifts to Koran teachers and TPA teachers, Kindergarten and PAUD teachers in Muntok District, West Bangka Regency, Thursday (21/4/2022).

In the activity entitled 'Kartini Metallurgical Unit Muntok Shares 2022', PT Timah Tbk employees handed over gifts in the form of prayer equipment, basic necessities and incentives to ten people who were delivered directly to the recipients' homes.

One of the recipients of the gift, Zaleha, a Koran teacher in Kampung Jawa, Muntok, was very happy with the arrival of the employees of PT Timah Tbk who had shown their concern for religious education educators.

"Thank God, thank you for the attention of PT Timah employees on Kartini Day. Hopefully what is given to us is very useful for our family," she said.

Similar to Zaleha, Saibah (77), a teacher at the Koran surau at Teluk Rubiah Village, is happy in her old age and is getting attention from the Kartinis of Timah.

"Alhamdulillah, we have received good fortune from PT Timah's mothers on Kartini Day, hopefully there will be blessings, safety and health for PT Timah's employees. Hopefully PT Timah will be more successful," said Saibah.

In line with the Chair of the Al Amaliah Study, Kp Sidorejo, Norma (53) who is also a Koran teacher and also a TPA teacher, said that she was happy that Kartini's day had received attention from PT Timah Tbk.

“Thank God for Kartini's Day, these women from PT Timah pay attention to Koran teachers like us. Usually never get a gift like this. Hopefully women can do better for PT Timah," said the administrator of the Karimah foundation at the West Bangka Social Service.

Meanwhile, the head of the Dharma Wanita sub-district, Muntok Nurlelawati Sukandi, assessed that the giving of love ropes to TPA, TK/PAUD teachers on Kartini Day was very appropriate. She hopes that this program can continue so that it can increase motivation for teachers.

“PT Timah's assistance program is very good, very touching, as we know the teachers of the Koran, TPA, TK/PAUD are our Kartinis who have educated our sons and daughters to be useful for our nation. We hope that this program is maintained because they really need it, this can also provide motivation for them,” she said.*
