BANGKA -- The excitement of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary Celebration was also felt by the people of Bangka Regency. Under the theme “Untuk Merah Putih” (For the Red and White), PT Timah held a series of social activities, including a blood donation drive and free health checkups through the PT Timah Mobile Health Unit.
The activities, which took place at the Multipurpose Building of the Engineering and Mine Support Division in Sungailiat, Bangka Regency, on Thursday (July 23, 2025), were met with enthusiasm from the community.
Previously, similar events for PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary had been held in Kundur, Meranti, Jakarta, and Belitung. These activities are part of PT Timah’s ongoing commitment to be present and contribute positively to the communities around its operational areas.

Through its Mobile Health Unit, PT Timah provided free medical services such as blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, and medical consultations with professional healthcare workers.
Diani, one of the Mobile Health participants, expressed her appreciation for the free services and hoped the Mobile Health Unit would visit her area more often.
“Today I had my uric acid, blood pressure, and blood sugar checked, and also consulted with a doctor. As a local resident of Sungailiat, I’m really happy with this free health service. I hope the Mobile Health Unit comes around more often,” she said.
In addition to the Mobile Health Unit, the event also featured a blood donation drive in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Bangka Regency. Several PT Timah employees and members of the public participated in the blood donation as an act of care and humanity.
Dr. Windra, Head of the PMI Blood Donation Unit in Bangka Regency, expressed his gratitude to PT Timah for organizing the blood donation as part of its anniversary celebration.
“I’m very grateful to PT Timah for holding this event. This blood drive is very important for maintaining the blood supply in Bangka Regency. It's also evident that PT Timah employees are in good health, as many were able to donate,” he said.

The event was also attended by Bangka Police Chief AKBP Deddy Dwitiya, who personally took part in the blood donation drive.
“I appreciate what PT Timah has done for its 49th anniversary—organizing both a blood donation and free health checkups for the community,” he said.
Hundreds of residents participated in the blood drive, resulting in dozens of bags of donated blood to help meet the blood supply needs in Bangka Regency. (*)
