BANGKA BARAT – Aminah (60)'s dream of having a proper kitchen and toilet has now come true. To coincide with Heroes' Day 2021, PT Timah Tbk together with Military District Commander 0431 Bangka Barat have completed the renovation of Aminah's house and handed it over to Aminah, Wednesday (10/11/2021).
Aminah could not contain her happiness, she shed tears during the symbolic handover of her house aid. Women who live alone have difficulty doing activities because they suffer from paralysis.
PT Timah Tbk together with Military District Commander 0431 Bangka Barat renovated Aminah's house at the end of last October. This house renovation is a form of the company's commitment to helping people in need.
"Grateful, very grateful to PT Timah, Indonesian National Military, Village head mother, neighbors, who have helped me. Hopefully, Allah can repay all of the kindness," said Aminah while shedding tears.
Aminah is now no longer too difficult to reach the toilet and kitchen, her renovated house does not make her worry about leaks again.
Meanwhile, the Commander of Military District Commander 0431 Bangka Barat, Lt. Col. Inf. Agung Wahyu Perkasa said the synergy between the Indonesian National Military and PT Timah was to create a livable house for Aminah.
"On Hero's Day, the key to the renovation assistance was handed over to Mrs. Aminah, which is a synergy between the Indonesian National Military and PT Timah. The Indonesian National Military assesses that the condition of Aminah's house is uninhabitable and PT Timah has an Uninhabitable house program. Great.
“To the public, please pay attention to Mrs. Aminah, with her condition like this, she needs all of our help. We also hope that the community can always synergize with the TNI," he continued.
In the future, he hopes that programs like this can be continued by targeting people in need. So that with this assistance it can ease the burden on the community to get a decent house to live in.
In addition to handing over house renovation assistance, PT Timah Tbk also handed over food packages to people affected by Covid-19.
The handover of the aid was also attended by the Head of Unmet Ir Wiyono, Military district commander O431 Bangka Barat, the Association of Indonesian Armed Forces Members Wives, Head of Village Head Fitria Anggraini, and the local community. (**)
