WEST BANGKA — PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting community activities within its operational areas, including those involving young people. This time, PT TIMAH Tbk provided support for the Karang Taruna Jebus Cup I football tournament organized by Karang Taruna Jebus.
The Karang Taruna Jebus Cup 1 tournament, held from July to October at the Jebus Village football field in Jebus District, West Bangka Regency, was joined by 152 teams from across the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
PT TIMAH Tbk’s support for this event serves as a means of empowering youth to take an active role in building a productive community that directly benefits society.
Chairman of Karang Taruna Jebus, Rizki Novaldi, said the tournament was held not only to support the development of football but also to stimulate the local economy and other sectors in Jebus Village.
"This is one of many events we’ve organized as Karang Taruna Jebus, but previously our activities were only at the village and district level. This football tournament is the first one open to all of Bangka Belitung," he said.
He expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s support in making the tournament a success, noting how essential the company’s sponsorship was for the event.
"PT TIMAH's sponsorship has been incredibly helpful, especially in terms of prizes, operational costs, and other needs," he added.
Looking ahead, he hopes to continue collaborating with PT TIMAH Tbk to host more initiatives that bring positive impacts to the community.
"We hope PT TIMAH will keep collaborating with us—not only in sports, but in other fields too—because their support has been very beneficial and motivating for us as organizers. It encourages us to keep creating events and helping the community. As young people, we’re also eager to launch other meaningful activities," he concluded.
Through its support for this football tournament, PT TIMAH Tbk aims to strengthen the synergy between the company and the community while fostering a spirit of unity around its operational areas. (*)
