WEST BANGKA --- To support the TNI's reforestation program, PT Timah Tbk handed over 1,000 mangrove seedlings to West Bangka District Military Command 0431, Friday (3/3/2023).
This mangrove will be planted on the coast of Cupat Parittiga, West Bangka Regency. This mangrove planting is a Simultaneous Reforestation Program throughout the territory of the Indonesian Armed Forces Commander.
Dandim 0431 West Bangka Lt. Col. Deri Indrawan explained that the greening activities were carried out simultaneously throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia by the TNI, which was a program of the TNI Commander Yudho Margono.
"For West Bangka, Kodim 0431 will implement it on the coast of Cupat Parittiga," explained the Dandim.
He said the mangrove seed assistance from PT Timah Tbk was a form of synergy and collaboration with PT Timah Tbk in managing the environment.
"The support for 1,000 Mangrove tree seedlings from PT Timah is a form of synergy between the Indonesian Army and BUMN in the context of caring for the environment. Hopefully, the reforestation activities that will be carried out will be beneficial and continue to be sustainable in the future," he said.
Meanwhile, Paritiga Madrisa Sub-District Head appreciated the simultaneous greening program with the TNI.
"The Parittiga sub-district government would like to thank the Simultaneous Reforestation activity that will be carried out by the TNI in our area, and PT Timah for supporting this activity. We hope this can continue," he stated. (**)
