WEST BANGKA --- Sarimah (84) did not expect that her house could be renovated by PT Timah Tbk, which synergizes with the TNI Manunggal to Build Villages through a livable housing program.
The woman who is often called Granny Sarimah has long lived in her house which is located in Air Bulin Village, Kelapa District, West Bangka Regency. She lived alone in her house after her husband died. While her children live separately from her.
At an age that is no longer young with insufficient economic conditions, Sarimah can only survive with the current conditions.
Even so, Sarimah never gives up and doesn't bother other people, she still works according to her abilities.
"Thank you all for building my house. It is no longer possible for me to build a house because she is unable and old. May Allah reward her, give her health, and make her more advanced," said Grandma Sarimah with emotion.
Meanwhile, Head of Hamlet 1 of Air Bulin Village, Bambang said Sarimah was one of the residents who deserved help. His party also suggested that Grandma Sarimah's house be renovated.
"Grandma Sarimah's condition is now elderly, she has hearing loss, and she just stays at home. Recently, her son also had an accident," he said.
For this reason, his party appreciates the assistance from PT Timah Tbk, which synergizes with TMMD to build a livable house for Grandmother Sarimah.
"We are very grateful for this assistance, not only assistance for Granny Sarimah, but PT Timah has also helped village residents, such as basic food assistance and others," he said. (*)
