BANGKA BARAT -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to support community welfare. This time, in collaboration with the West Bangka Regency Government, the company distributed 200 packages of basic food assistance to communities in need as part of the Ramadan Safari series.
The distribution of aid was coordinated with the West Bangka Regency Social Affairs and Village Community Empowerment Office, which also serves as the Secretariat of the West Bangka CSR Forum.
The assistance was distributed to several villages, targeting vulnerable groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, and children experiencing stunting.
Head of the West Bangka Social Affairs and Village Community Empowerment Office, Akhmad Nursandi, stated that the assistance from PT TIMAH plays an important role in supporting the regional government’s Ramadan Safari activities.
“The basic food packages from PT TIMAH are distributed across several villages as part of the Ramadan Safari. The recipients include those in need such as the elderly, people with disabilities, and children experiencing stunting. This activity also involves the Family Welfare Movement Team (PKK), Posyandu, and special schools,” he said on Tuesday (March 17, 2026).
He also expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH’s contribution, which is considered consistent in supporting the regional government’s social programs, especially during Ramadan.
“We would like to thank PT TIMAH. We hope this collaboration can continue and be further strengthened in the future,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of West Bangka, Yus, also appreciated PT TIMAH’s active role in helping the community, particularly during the blessed Ramadan Safari.
“Alhamdulillah, at several Ramadan Safari locations, PT TIMAH has contributed to helping underprivileged communities and orphans. Thank you for PT TIMAH’s concern for the people of West Bangka. We hope the company continues to thrive and that the established synergy becomes even stronger,” he said.
Through this synergy, PT TIMAH and the West Bangka Regency Government hope to continue delivering tangible benefits to the community while strengthening social care. (*)
