PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to social care and public health. One such effort is its collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in carrying out various humanitarian activities.
In many of its corporate activities, PT Timah often holds blood donation drives in collaboration with PMI, both at the provincial and district/city levels within the company’s operational areas.
In addition to organizing its own blood donation events, PT Timah also frequently supports blood drives held by stakeholders. This effort aims to educate the public about the importance of donating blood regularly.
PT Timah’s collaboration with PMI Bangka Belitung is carried out through several events, including the company's anniversary celebrations, where blood donation has become a routine agenda during the company's Month of Service activities held in operational areas.
The company’s blood donation initiatives involve not only employees but also members of the public who wish to participate. The blood collected is distributed by PMI to hospitals in need.
Blood donation serves as a means to raise awareness about the importance of regular donations, while also strengthening the spirit of unity and mutual support within the community.
Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan, stated that PT Timah will continue to support and develop humanitarian programs that bring positive impact to the community.
