Collaborating with PT Timah Tbk, Karang Taruna Tanjung Ketapang Village Provides Free Health Services in Healthy Cars

SOUTH BANGKA – PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car continues to provide free health services for the community. In the first week of February 2023, PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car visited residents of Teladan Village, Toboali District, South Bangka Regency, Sunday (05/02/2023).

In implementing the Healthy Car, members of the Indonesian Mining Holding MIND ID collaborated with Ketapang Village Youth Organization.

Not only giving free health checks, but people who seek treatment also get food in the form of rice. In addition, joint exercises were also held.

Tanjung Ketapang Urban Village Secretary, Rifan Apriadi appreciates this program because he said the presence of the Healthy Car provides many benefits to the community.

"Moreover, this is a medical examination, you know the community if they want to have a health check at the puskesmas is rather reluctant. If there are no activities like this, it is very unlikely that the community will want to have their health checked," he said.

Rifan is grateful that the presence of a Healthy Car in his Village can help his residents. In addition, residents are also enthusiastic about participating in this activity. He hopes this social program will continue.

"From the look on their faces, it can be seen that they are very enthusiastic about participating in this activity. We really hope that PT Timah or other companies can carry out social activities like this, which are of course very useful for the community and real for the community," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Karang Taruna Tanjung Ketapang Village Herry Andriantoni appreciated PT Timah Tbk for collaborating with them to implement the Healthy Car.

"Alhamdulillah, today we can collaborate with PT Timah, by holding free inspection activities and also by distributing 120 rice packages to residents who take part in their health checks," he said.

Herry revealed that today's collaboration with PT Timah Tbk was the first time for them. He hopes that collaborations like this can continue.

"We are very grateful to PT Timah because with the realization of this activity, our community will be helped and we can also establish friendship with the community," he said.

Meanwhile, Suryati (70), a resident who took part in the medical examination, admitted that previously she was reluctant to have her health checked regularly. Even though based on the doctor's analysis she had several diseases.

"My right shoulder aches, I've had it for about two months. During my time with this illness, I have never had my health checked," she said.

She hopes, after checking her health in this healthy car, she can be healthy again.

“The staff is very nice, the doctor is very friendly. Hopefully, after taking the medicine from here, my pain can be cured," she said.
