BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Bangka Regency again held a blood donor in a series of PT Timah Tbk Service Month activities which were held at the Bangka PMI Office, Tuesday (17/7/2023).
This blood donation action succeeded in collecting dozens of blood bags. This activity was not only attended by PT Timah Tbk employees but also the general public who joined in donating their blood.
This year's PT Timah Tbk Service Month series apart from holding blood donors also held a mass circumcision which was carried out in the company's operational areas in order to welcome the 47th anniversary of members of the MIND ID mining industry holding.
One of the people who took part in the Martini blood donation, a resident of Air Ruay Sungailiat, said that he donated blood because it was according to the blood donor schedule.
"My family and I are active donors. Today it just so happened that it was my time to donate blood and when it was discovered that there was a blood donor from PT Timah Tbk, I immediately donated," She said.
According to him, routinely donating blood can help others, especially people in need. Because, it is known that the need for blood is always a lot.
"Yes, I am also happy to be able to donate blood together with PT Timah Tbk's social services. I hope that activities like this are routine so that more and more people will be helped and PT Timah Tbk will continue to be successful," She said.
In the same vein, one of PT Timah Tbk's employees, Dikron, said that he routinely donates blood, especially during PT Timah Tbk's Service Month activities.
"PT Timah Tbk often helps the community and through blood donation activities like this PT Timah Tbk also helps residents who need blood. Hopefully, PT Timah Tbk will continue to be useful for the community," he said.
PMI Bangka Regency Service Staff Anggriyani said PMI Bangka often collaborates with PT Timah Tbk to carry out blood donations. He admitted that with mass blood donors like this, more and more people came to donate blood.
"We have often collaborated with PT Timah Tbk, sometimes we even come to their office to invite employees to donate blood. The need for blood is quite a lot, so we continue to try to invite people to become active donors," She said. She hopes that the synergy and collaboration of PT Timah Tbk can continue so that the need for bloodstock in Bangka Regency can be sufficient and people who need blood can be assisted. (*)
