KUNDUR -- PT Timah collaborated with Kodim 0317/TBK to conduct mangrove planting on Sawang Beach, Sawang Village, Kundur Barat District, on Wednesday (21/2/2024) afternoon.
The mangrove planting is part of the environmental conservation efforts carried out by PT Timah together with Kodim 0317/TBK. PT Timah provided hundreds of mangrove seedlings from the Kundur Operational Area Nursery.
The mangrove planting effort is one of the steps to prevent coastal abrasion in the area.
In carrying out environmental preservation, PT Timah collaborates with government agencies and community groups to preserve the environment.
The Sawang Village and Sawang Laut Bhabinsa, Yadi Mulyadi, appreciated PT Timah for supporting and jointly implementing environmental preservation in Karimun Regency.
He stated that mangrove planting is a joint effort to prevent coastal abrasion and preserve mangrove forests. Because mangrove forests play an important role in supporting coastal ecosystems.
