Collaborating between the world of education and the world of business, PT Timah provides internship opportunities for students and students

PANGKALPINANG -- Collaboration between the world of education and industry is very important to improve the abilities of pupils and students. One way is through an internship program.

PT Timah facilitates students and students who want to do internships in 2024 through the Timah Internship program. This program is to develop future talents and also strengthen the educational ecosystem and the world of work as a whole.

Timah Internship is part of the External Human Resources development program which aims to build superior, tough, dignified Human Resources, as well as efforts to support companies in implementing Environmental Social Governance (ESG), as well as a conducive working environment/conducive working relationships.

Through the internship program, PT Timah provides opportunities for pupils and students to gain practical experience in the world of professional work.

PT Timah is often the choice of internship place for students and students because it has a special and complex business process so many different majors can apply for and do internships at PT Timah, such as metallurgy, land and sea mining, and various other disciplines.

There are several routes that students and university students can use to be able to take part in an internship at PT Timah in 2024.

First, Field Work Practices, namely work practices intended for students from high school/vocational schools. Industrial Work Practices are carried out twice a year. Divided into two batches, the first batch in January-June and the second batch in July-December.

Second, Independent Work Practice or research. This route is carried out independently by students via a direct route from the university to PT Timah Tbk which is tailored to the needs of fulfilling the curriculum at the university.

Third, internship through the Indonesian Human Capital Forum (FHCI), namely an internship carried out by the Ministry of BUMN through FHCI.

This Independent Work Practice is also implemented in two batches in one year, namely batch 1 for the January-June period and batch 2 for the July-December period. With a participant capacity for each batch of 40 people.

During the internship, participants have the opportunity to develop various skills needed in the world of work that are tailored to their major and science.

Apart from that, interns can also determine the duration of the internship according to their needs with an internship period of 1-6 months. There are many benefits felt by interns at PT Timah, including increased competency, networking, experience and coaching in the world of work.
