BANGKA BARAT – This year's Chinese New Year brought blessings to Ayos Antoni, better known as Ko Ajam, a fisherman from Bakit Village, Parit Tiga Jebus District, West Bangka Regency.
The ethnic Chinese fisherman received an outboard motor from PT Timah to help improve his fishing operations.
For Ko Ajam, this assistance allows him to venture further out to sea, increasing his catch.
"I am grateful to PT Timah for this motor. Hopefully, with this support, I can be more motivated and improve my fishing, as my old engine was already outdated," he said.
With this new outboard motor, Ko Ajam hopes for continued success for himself and PT Timah.
"May this year bring even greater success and prosperity to PT Timah," he wished.
Meanwhile, Munyamin, the Acting Head of Bakit Village, expressed his gratitude to PT Timah for helping the local fishermen increase their income.
"Thank you, PT Timah, for supporting our community. Hopefully, this assistance will help our fishermen improve their livelihoods. Once again, on behalf of the village leadership, I extend my sincere gratitude," he said.
Munyamin also urged the recipients to take good care of the donated equipment.
"This support is highly beneficial for our fishermen in increasing their income. Therefore, we urge them to maintain and utilize the equipment wisely—please do not sell it," he emphasized.
He also prayed for PT Timah’s continued success in the years ahead.
"May PT Timah continue to thrive, not only supporting fishermen but also assisting MSMEs and other community initiatives. I hope PT Timah grows even stronger and better in the future," he concluded. (*)
