PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah employees are taking part in the company’s 49th Anniversary celebration by participating in a decluttering initiative, reflecting their commitment to social responsibility and solidarity.
This initiative involves collecting gently used items from their homes—such as clothing for children and adults, children’s books, usable toys, and wearable sandals and shoes—to be donated to those in need.
As part of the 49th Anniversary series under the theme “For the Red and White,” this activity goes beyond ceremonial events by promoting a spirit of giving and social care among employees.
Staff from all departments have enthusiastically joined in, voluntarily sorting through their belongings to find items still in good condition for donation. These collected goods will be packaged and distributed to orphanages, social institutions, and early childhood education centers (PAUD/Kindergartens) in need.
The decluttering drive will run from July 4 to July 27, 2025, with donations scheduled to be distributed afterward.
The initiative has been warmly received by employees, many of whom see it as a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the importance of sharing and solidarity. It also serves as a way to strengthen bonds among coworkers and reinforce the company’s core values.
This decluttering action highlights PT Timah’s ongoing commitment to encouraging employee engagement in social and environmental initiatives.
