PANGKALPINANG -- The MSME Bazaar joined in celebrating the 48th Anniversary of PT Timah Tbk Simultaneously in the Pangkalpinang, Toboali/WBS, Sungailiat/WBU, Kundur, Belitung and Muntok areas which took place at PT Timah's Stannia GOR Yard, Friday (2/8/2024) .
A total of 21 MSMEs involved in the MSME Bazaar commemorated PT Timah's 48th anniversary with the theme 'Moving Compact'. The 21 MSMEs involved include PT Timah Development Partners, Employee Collaboration MSMEs, and Rumah BUMN Belitung.
Hundreds of products sold at PT Timah's 48th anniversary include food and beverage, craft, and fashion.
The President Director of PT Timah Ahmad Dani Virsal along with the Commissioners and Directors also went around visiting the stands of MSMEs. Not only that, they were seen shopping and tasting various MSME products.
One of PT Timah's Foster Partners, Tri Siska Febriyanti, selling decoupage craft products, namely products made from patterned tissue sheets, expressed her enthusiasm for participating in this event.
"I'm really happy because this is one of the means for the fostered partners to promote my products. "There are many people here who don't know about our products, so this is the right place to introduce them," he said.
Likewise, Fani Pratiwi, seller of O'Bross Collection handmade crafts, said that with the involvement of MSMEs in this event, the turnover obtained would very likely increase.
"This can really increase turnover because when we are at a bazaar like this we will immediately meet people who are looking for it, especially if they can see our products directly, so that's what makes them interested and buy," he explained.
According to Fani, they appreciate PT Timah because it always supports their business, from finances, and training, to exhibitions like the one currently being held.
They are also given training to be able to continue updating their skills so that they can move up in class and expand their business sales network.
In the same vein, Era Mayasari, who sells typical Bangka crackers, namely Kricu and Ampiang Cantiqa, Era, who has been a partner of PT Timah since around 2019, shared his experience from year to year always attending PT Timah's anniversary.
"Usually this is the moment we look forward to every year because there are a lot of visitors so our products will definitely sell well and sell well," he explained.
Meanwhile, many PT Timah employees were seen buying up MSME snacks, one of whom was Rahmi.
"I have bought a lot of food since then, such as fish pempek from MSMEs, there is honey and breadfruit chips from Belitung houses, herbal medicine mbok ti, and coffee, there are solo sausages and finally pickles," he said.
He also stated that he was very happy because he could help each other by getting involved with these MSMEs.
"With this bazaar, at least we can help each other, yes, we are helped to provide these delicious snacks and for MSMEs, it might be income for brands," he said.
Rahmi hopes that PT Timah will get better in the future, can always be useful for the surrounding community, able to make a lot of contributions and can further develop the MSMEs of its fostered partners. (*)
