Celebrating Its 50th Anniversary, PT TIMAH Shares Joy with Hundreds of Islamic Boarding School Students in South Bangka

SOUTH BANGKA -- Marking half a century of its journey, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to share happiness with communities across its operational areas. In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the company expressed its gratitude by distributing meals to students at several Islamic boarding schools and religious foundations in Toboali District, South Bangka Regency, on Sunday (August 2, 2026).

Hundreds of meal packages were personally delivered by PT TIMAH employees to three religious educational institutions: Tarbiyatul Mubtadi’in Islamic Boarding School in Toboali, Mulazamatul Ihsan Islamic Boarding School in Toboali, and the Al-Muzzamil Foundation at Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School in Kaposang Village.

The meal distribution, held under the theme “Tin for the People,” was part of PT TIMAH’s 50th Anniversary celebration and served as an expression of gratitude for the company’s five decades of growth. Celebrating this milestone, PT TIMAH chose to share its blessings and deliver meaningful benefits directly to communities in its operational areas.

The assistance was distributed by representatives of the Timah Employees Association (IKT), accompanied by members of the Timah Employees Union (PKT). For the company, sharing with the community has become an integral part of PT TIMAH’s journey to continue growing while creating lasting value for the people and surrounding environment.

The recipients welcomed the assistance with smiles and gratitude. Ahmad, Head of the Al-Muzzamil Foundation at Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School in Kaposang Village, expressed his appreciation for PT TIMAH’s continued support for religious educational institutions.

“Alhamdulillah, we would like to sincerely thank PT TIMAH for this assistance. We hope PT TIMAH continues to be an outstanding company and remains a source of pride for the community, especially the people of South Bangka,” Ahmad said.

According to Ahmad, this was not the first time PT TIMAH had supported the foundation. The company has previously provided assistance on several occasions, including support for students who are memorizing the Qur’an while pursuing their education.

He also expressed his hope that, as PT TIMAH enters its 50th year, the company will continue to grow and remain close to the community.

“We hope that at the age of 50, PT TIMAH will become even more successful, continue to grow, and remain committed to helping communities in need. We hope the company will continue creating benefits for the people of South Bangka,” he said.

The same sense of gratitude was shared by the family of Mulazamatul Ihsan Islamic Boarding School in Toboali. Rozin Saputra, a teacher at the boarding school, said the assistance was highly meaningful for the students.

“Alhamdulillah, these meals are very helpful. God willing, they will help meet the students’ needs and encourage them to continue pursuing their education,” he said.

Rozin also expressed his hope that PT TIMAH’s commitment to community development through various social programs would continue so that even more people could benefit.

“We hope PT TIMAH continues to grow and remains committed to helping communities, especially those in need,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rosidi, Head of Tarbiyatul Mubtadi’in Islamic Boarding School in Toboali, also expressed his gratitude for PT TIMAH’s support.

He explained that the meal packages would be distributed to students currently studying at the boarding school.

“Alhamdulillah, thank you, PT TIMAH. We wish PT TIMAH continued success and prosperity, and we hope initiatives like this will continue on a sustainable basis,” he said.

Previously, PT TIMAH also organized its Community Service Month, carrying out a series of social initiatives across its operational areas, including mass circumcision programs, blood donation drives, and free healthcare services for local communities.
