PANGKALPINANG -- The celebration of PT Timah’s 49th anniversary was enlivened with a series of sports competitions among employees as a form of appreciation, a moment of togetherness, and a means to strengthen team spirit in the workplace.
The sports featured in the 49th anniversary competitions included table tennis, dominoes, soccer, badminton, e-sports, and archery.
PT Timah’s Director of Business Development, Suhendra Yusuf Ratuprawiranegara, while opening the soccer match, stated that the sports event was part of strengthening a corporate culture that is sportive, solid, and competitive.
On this occasion, Suhendra emphasized that all teams should uphold sportsmanship, maintain fairness, and strengthen camaraderie.
“In sports activities like this, what matters most is fairness, friendship, and sportsmanship. It's about how we maintain togetherness so that the values in sports can be applied in our daily lives and work environment, such as being able to work together to achieve common goals,” he said.
He hopes that this 49th anniversary of PT Timah will increase the spirit, synergy, and collaboration among PT Timah employees and its subsidiaries.
“Through sports, we not only maintain physical health but also strengthen relationships among employees, which has a positive impact on work productivity,” he added.
In addition to sports activities, the 49th anniversary of PT Timah, which carries the theme ‘For the Red and White,’ also includes various social initiatives for communities in the company’s operational areas, such as mass circumcisions, blood donations, free health check-ups, and a Health Week.
