WEST BANGKA -- To support the development of tourist areas in the company's operational areas, PT Timah Tbk is carrying out community empowerment in West Bangka Regency.
The empowerment program carried out by PT Timah Tbk includes providing education, counseling, outreach and assistance to support community empowerment programs.
One of them is by providing financial assistance to develop educational tourism under Cepakek, Air Limau Village, Mentok District, West Bangka Regency. The assistance was handed over by the Head of the K3LH Division of the Metallurgical Unit of PT Timah Tbk Rheza Maulana Ibrahim to the Head of Air Limau Village Mexsi Diansah in the Baai of Air Limau Village, Friday (8/9/2023).
On this occasion, PT Timah Tbk also socialized the company's social innovation program to the people of Air Limau Village in a series of People's Party activities with the theme "Traditional Ngejage Tourism Village, Caring for Life".
Mexsi Diansah said that the activities with PT Timah Tbk were aimed at empowering the community in their village.
"The Air Limau Village Government invites all related parties to collaborate, whether as speakers, or sponsors, talking about community empowerment is not enough for the village government itself," he said.
He hopes that this activity can increase the community's economic empowerment and support development in their region.

According to Mexsi, financial assistance from PT Timah will be used for tourism development under Cepakek, including adding infrastructure.
"This assistance will be used to develop tourist villages under Cepakek so that community empowerment can be carried out to support community independence," he said.
"Air Limau Village is ready to support PT Timah's program to achieve its Gold Proper, including supporting the Arabian and Merawang Chicken Cultivation program with environmental awareness (Charming Culture)," he said.
In the same vein, Air Limau BPD Chairman Imam Maulana said that Air Limau HR is ready to make the Charming Culture program a success.
"The resources of the Air Limau village community, including the village government, youth, PKK women, and all residents are ready to support PT Timah Tbk's Charming Culture program. In recent years, we have implemented several programs with PT Timah," he stressed. (*)
