PERAYUN -- PT Timah Tbk provided food packages for the Indigenous People of Dusun II, Perayun Village, North Kundur District, Karimun Regency, Tuesday (29/8/2023).
The basic food package assistance was handed over by the General Manager of PT Timah Tbk Robertus Bambang Susilo together with employees of PT Timah Tbk to the community directly.
It is hoped that this basic food package can help meet the food needs of these indigenous peoples.
The reason is, that they only earn a living by looking for scrap iron and used goods.

Head of Hamlet II of Perayun Village Zakir appreciated the visit from GM PT Timah Tbk and employees who had shared happiness with the Indigenous people in Perayun Village.
"Hopefully this kind of attention can continue to be given by PT Timah to those who really need it," he said.
Zakir said that the Indigenous people are still economically deprived because their income is uncertain.
"The income of the Indigenous people only relies on the results of junk or used goods, such as mineral bottles and others. Coupled with a low level of education, we really need to pay more attention to people like that because they are also part of the community," he said.
One of the beneficiaries, Adeng, was very happy to receive basic food assistance from PT Timah Tbk. Previously they had also received assistance from PT Timah Tbk and were visited by the GM of PT Timah Tbk.
"Several years ago Mr. GMn often came and shared with us. And we were flattered by PT Timah Tbk's humility in helping with groceries and other equipment," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Perayun Village Tarub Murdianto expressed his appreciation and expressed his gratitude to PT Timah Tbk for its concern for Indigenous people.
"Hopefully in the future, PT Timah Tbk can continue to pay attention and support the indigenous people in Perayun Village," he said. (*)
