PANGKALPINANG -- A joyful and cheerful atmosphere filled the Healthy Week of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary, held at PT Timah’s Headquarters in Pangkalpinang on Sunday (August 31, 2025). Tens of thousands of residents joined the celebration themed “For the Red and White,” immersing themselves in togetherness.
One of the residents who shared in the happiness was Indriati, a resident of Selindung Baru, who successfully brought home one of the main door prizes — a motorcycle.
With a bright smile, Indriati admitted that she participated in the Healthy Week event with hopes of winning a blessing through the lottery ticket she had received.
“Since last night, I had been praying that I would receive good fortune at this Healthy Week. I felt nervous as the prizes were being announced. Alhamdulillah, when the very last number was called, it turned out to be mine,” she said.
According to her, PT Timah’s presence, distributing hundreds of door prizes, brought special joy to the people of Pangkalpinang.
“Alhamdulillah, PT Timah shared happiness with the community through these prizes. Besides promoting health with meaningful activities, PT Timah also spread joy to the people,” she added.
She also expressed her hope that similar activities would continue to be held and that PT Timah would always remain close to the community.
“I hope events like this will be held more often. Thank you, PT Timah. May PT Timah continue to thrive and contribute even more to the community,” she said.
At the Healthy Week of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary in Pangkalpinang, a member of the Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) holding, the company distributed 10 motorcycles and hundreds of other prizes to the community.
The series of Healthy Week events also featured a fun walk, zumba, an MSME bazaar, blood donation, and free health checkups through PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic.
The activities were met with great enthusiasm from the community, as expressed by Via, a resident of Jalan Mentok, who came specifically to join the Healthy Week celebration.
“Yes, I had planned to come since yesterday because there are so many prizes and activities. Hopefully, next time it will be even more festive. May PT Timah continue to grow so that events like this can keep happening,” she said. (*)
