CENTRAL BANGKA - Cahya Nurul Azmi (21) never expected to receive medical assistance from PT Timah Tbk. This resident of Kedimpel Hamlet, Baskara Bakti Village, Namang District, Central Bangka Regency has a breast tumor.
“I can only surrender, waiting for help from PT Timah. I also did not expect that PT Timah would assist me. In addition, the response was very fast," said Cahya.
Previously, Cahya's medical expenses were assisted by her family, but the costs involved were not small.
Cahya recounted that she had just realized she had a tumor when she woke up to find a lump in his breast. However, she just let it go because it doesn't hurt.
“However, gradually the lump got bigger, besides that, it also hurts the back. If I eat food like fish that contains a lot of thorns and work too tired, I will feel the pain," she said.
Finally, she decided to go for treatment, so when the ultrasound was done, the doctor suggested that she have surgery. However, because of fear, she was reluctant to perform surgery and try alternative medicine.
"But after the condition of the lump got bigger and the pain got worse then I decided to have surgery. Thank God, the pain has started to decrease and is currently still in the control stage. To make sure if the tumor is really gone or dead," she said.
She appreciates PT Timah Tbk for helping with her medical expenses, this assistance will be used to support her treatment such as control and others.
"Thank you PT Timah for helping with my medical expenses. Thank God this assistance is very helpful because this assistance will certainly make it easier for us to pay for control, outpatient care, and also buying medicine," said Cahya.
Meanwhile, the Head of Baskara Village Bakti Bahtiar Effendi appreciated PT Timah Tbk for helping the community.
“PT Timah quickly responded to our proposal and didn't beat around the bush. This is truly an extraordinary response from PT Timah for us," she said.
According to her, this assistance is very useful for residents who are in need.
Furthermore, Bahtiar said PT Timah Tbk's various CSR programs had helped their community a lot, such as assistance with livable houses, sacrificial animals, and others.
"We hope that programs from PT Timah like this can continue so that we can continue to help people in need. As well as being able to continue to be close to the people who really need help from PT Timah," she said.
