By land route, Students from Yogyakarta are Happy to be Able to Go Home for Free With PT Timah Tbk

PALEMBANG - Homecoming is a long-awaited moment during Eid al-Fitr. However, not everyone has the opportunity to go home and gather with family at the moment of Eid al-Fitr.

To be able to help people who want to go home, the Ministry of SOEs is holding the 2023 Joint SOE Homecoming for the community. Homecoming, which was initiated by BUMN Minister Erick Thohir, is titled 'Homecoming Expected, Homecoming in the Heart'.

PT Timah Tbk as a BUMN participates in facilitating the people and students of Bangka Belitung from various regions who want to go home to Bangka through the 2023 Joint Homecoming BUMN program.

The free homecoming facilitated by PT Timah Tbk was also enthusiastically welcomed by the community. They flocked to register themselves.

Choirul Demaka (22), a Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University student, is taking advantage of the 2023 Homecoming with BUMN so he can return to his hometown.

"We have also previously wondered whether there is a joint homecoming program or not. We hope that this free homecoming program will be accommodated by the Ministry of BUMN, and for Bangka Belitung itself directly from PT Timah," he said.

He said that this was his first experience participating in this homecoming program together. He said, with this program students who migrated to Java Island could return to their hometowns.

"Very grateful for this free homecoming activity, because with the soaring ticket prices, of course, it is very light for us. In particular, it has reduced the burden on our parents, there is no need to think about our homecoming expenses," Choirul.

He was also happy to be able to take part in the homecoming for free because he was going home from Yogyakarta to Bangka Belitung this time by land.

"This is the first experience for us, because with a homecoming route like this we can enjoy the atmosphere during the trip, as well as with other friends they also look very happy along the way," he said.

In the future, he hopes that the Homecoming Together with BUMN program can be carried out regularly every year, and the quota can increase.

"Thank you PT Timah for facilitating us to go home, I hope PT Timah will continue to be victorious," said the Toboali resident.

In the same vein, Emi Lupita, one of the Ahmad Dahlan University students, revealed that this year's homecoming trip is becoming more interesting.

"Alhamdulillah, I can go home for free with this program. Several years ago I also participated in PT Timah's free homecoming as well, and thank God this year I was able to take part in this activity again," she said.

He assessed PT Timah Tbk's free homecoming program from year to year continues to increase and provides comfort for travelers.

"Hopefully in the future, it will be even better, but to be honest this is also very good in my opinion. Because this trip route made me feel very happy, because I enjoyed the scenery along the way," she said. (**)
