PALEMBANG -- BUMN's 2024 Fun Homecoming with PT Timah, which was attended by hundreds of participants, had various stories and experiences on the journey from overseas lands to their hometowns.
As stated by one of the participants in the 2024 BUMN Fun Homecoming with PT Timah Romza Rozi (59) who admitted that he was very happy with the free homecoming.
This can be seen from the look on Grandfather's face, who kept smiling, when he gathered and chatted with his wife, children, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, while at the waiting terminal at Bom Baru Harbor, Palembang. Saturday (06/04/2024).
"We encountered a lot of exciting things during the trip, where we could experience developments such as the Lampung - Palembang toll road for example, as well as the beautiful views along the way. "Anyway, it's very exciting and very enjoyable, because this is the first time for our family," he said.
According to Romza, the free homecoming from PT Timah really helps them because everything is facilitated by PT Timah.
"Apart from that, I can also go home in a group with my family and can celebrate Eid in my hometown with them. "Where my wife, children, daughter-in-law and grandchildren can experience the excitement of going home together," said the Pemali resident.
He is grateful for the free homecoming activity from PT Timah Tbk so that he can get to know each other with Bangka residents who are overseas.
"I have been migrating to Jakarta for 30 years, of course the 'Fun Homecoming with BUMN 2024' activity is really fun, because with this activity we can get to know each other with migrants from Bangka Belitung," he said.
"To PT Timah, we would like to thank you for this free homecoming activity. We hope that PT Timah will continue to be successful and can continue to help the people of Bangka Belitung in particular," he continued.
Meanwhile, HR Director of PT Timah Tigor Pangaribuan said that the Ministry of BUMN was organizing a free homecoming to make it easier for people who wanted to return to their hometowns.
"We should be grateful to God for being able to gather together in the Fun Homecoming Program with BUMN. Hopefully, the journey will be smooth to Bangka. Because traveling 24 hours requires stamina but when you can enjoy it feels good," he said.
"PT Timah itself facilitated 700 homecoming travelers from various cities in Indonesia who wanted to go home to Bangka Belitung and Karimun Regency," he said.
Apart from that, PT Timah Tbk also collaborates with the Bangka Student Association (ISBA), the Belitong Family Student Association (IKPB), and KPMKR (Riau Islands Student Family) in organizing a fun homecoming with BUMN 2024. As well as regularly holding a free homecoming program to help students and the general public overseas to be able to return to their hometowns for Eid al-Fitr.
"Thank you for the good cooperation with ISBA, IKPB, and the Riau Islands Student Family (KPMKR) who helped make this free homecoming a success. Hopefully, everything can run smoothly," he said.
