Bukit Pinteir Entered the 2023 API Sports and Adventure Tourism Nomination, Chairman of Gempita Called 85 Percent of Facilities Built by PT Timah Tbk

CENTRAL BANGKA – The Bukit Pinteir Tourism Area is one of the nominations for the 2023 Indonesian Enchantment Award (API) in the Sports and Adventure Tourism category.

Pinteir Hill, which is located in Dul Village, Pangkalan Baru District, Central Bangka Regency, is a tourist destination that offers beautiful natural beauty with a lush forest atmosphere.

The Bukit Pinteir tourist area is managed by Pokdarwis Gempita (Tourism Lovers Community Movement). To support this tourism development, Pokdarwis Gempita is collaborating with BUMN PT Timah Tbk to build and add facilities and infrastructure.

The collaboration between PT Timah Tbk and Pokdarwis Gempita is one of the efforts of members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding to support the tourism sector in the company's operational areas.

Chairman of Gempita Syahrial said that the inclusion of the Bukit Pinteir area as a nomination for API 2023 made them even more enthusiastic about developing this tour.

“For us this is something very extraordinary and also a fortune for us. by entering Bukit Pinteir in the top 10. Of course this makes us very proud and certainly more enthusiastic about managing this area," he said.

Syahrial said that the development of the Bukit Pinteir tourist area could not be separated from the role of PT Timah Tbk, which built facilities ranging from landmarks that became the iconic 'Bukit Pinteir' writing, road signs, climbing maps, gates and gazebos.

"In the development and management of existing facilities and infrastructure, to be honest, we are very involved with several BUMNs, one of which is PT Timah, which has been very supportive of us. Many facilities were built by PT Timah. These facilities are included in the assessment points of this API. We are very grateful to PT Timah for helping complete this facility," he said.

According to him, the assistance from PT Timah Tbk in developing this tourist area is also sustainable so that they are very helpful.

"From the beginning of Bukit Pinteir's establishment, we submitted assistance to several BUMNs, which responded quickly, namely PT Timah Tbk.
85 percent of the facilities here were built by PT Timah, because in the past two years PT Timah has continued to provide assistance after assistance," he said.

Currently, he said, apart from climbing the hill, tourists who come to Bukit Pinteir can also see the agricultural and livestock sectors that they are currently developing.

"The number of visitors is around 1000-2000 people per month. Many come here, ranging from school children to the elderly," he said. (*)
