PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk continues to be committed to providing health services for communities around the mine. One of them is through PT Timah's Healthy Car which often visits various areas to remote areas.
Mid January-September 2023, PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car has provided services to 3,121 residents in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and Riau Islands Province.
PT Timah Tbk's Health Car visited 30 locations to provide health services to the community. Through the Healthy Car, PT Timah Tbk brings health services closer to the community.
Members of the Indonesian Mining Industry holding MIND ID have started implementing this pick-up health service since the end of 2020. Thousands of residents have received health services at Oto Sehat.
In the Healthy Car activity, PT Timah Tbk also provides education about health for the community. Apart from that, there is also education about stunting and providing additional food packages for children who experience stunting in the area.
This free health service was enthusiastically welcomed by the community. Residents flocked to take advantage of this free health service to check their health.
As stated by Munir, residents of Benteng Kota Village who received health services from PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Cars felt the benefits of the presence of Healthy Cars in their village.
"It's nice to get treatment here, so far we have had to pay for treatment, we feel helped by the PT Timah Tbk Health Car, we can get treatment for free and close by," said Munir.
