PANGKALPINANG – PT Timah has been actively promoting MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) partner products at various local, national, and international exhibitions. In early October, PT Timah's partner MSME products were showcased in three exhibitions.
Through this initiative, PT Timah aims to provide opportunities for its partner MSME products to reach a wider market, thereby helping to boost the local economy.
Dozens of PT Timah's partner MSME products were featured in the Karya Nyata Festival Vol 11 in Palembang, held on October 5-6, 2024, the Colours of Culture Festival in Kota Tua Jakarta on October 4-5, 2024, and the Senggigi Sunset Jazz 2024 in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on October 5, 2024.
The products showcased at these three exhibitions included food and beverages, fashion items, cual (a traditional woven fabric), batik, and other crafts.
These product exhibitions also serve as a way to promote the tourism and cultural sectors in the company's operational areas.
Through its Micro and Small Business Funding (PUMK) program, PT Timah regularly supports MSME promotions. In addition to providing promotion support, PT Timah also encourages funding and mentorship for MSME entrepreneurs within the company’s operational areas.
"By participating in exhibitions, MSME products not only attract public attention but also have the opportunity to interest investors or new business partners and open new markets," said PT Timah's Head of Corporate Communications, Anggi Siahaan.
Anggi explained that MSMEs are known as one of the backbones of the economy, so PT Timah consistently supports MSMEs to grow and become more competitive. (*)
