EAST BELITUNG - PT Timah Tbk Service Month in welcoming the 47th anniversary of PT Timah Tbk also carried out a blood donation which was held in Manggar District, East Belitung Regency, Thursday (13/7/2023).
Dozens of blood bags collected in the blood donation activity carried out by PT Timah Tbk can help maintain the availability of blood in the East Belitung Regency.
One of the donors, Sigit, said that he regularly donates blood at the Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD) in East Belitung. With the blood donation carried out by PT Timah Tbk, it makes it easier for him to donate blood.
"So when this time came, we took part directly," said Sigit.
Sigit hopes that PT Timah Tbk will carry out such donor actions regularly so that it can help provide blood in East Belitung.
"Right now, many people need blood for treatment, so it is hoped that more people will donate," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of UTD Installation dr. Vincea Eko said that PT Timah Tbk's blood donation would really help maintain the availability of blood in East Belitung.
"So during this blood donation action, more people donate," he said.
According to him, currently, the need for blood in East Belitung is 100 to 200 bags a month.
He appreciated PT Timah Tbk inviting them to participate in the PT Timah Tbk event.
"PT Timah Tbk very often carries out blood donor actions, and we will continue to participate if PT Timah Tbk carries out another donor action," he said. (*)
