Becoming a Foster Partner of PT Timah Tbk, Zulkifli's Business Was Able to Survive in the Midst of Difficult Economic Conditions

KUNDUR - The property industry, such as subsidized housing, is growing rapidly to serve the needs of minimalist homes for the community. But this did not affect Zulkifli's business as a maker of wooden doors and frames.

This is in line with the needs of people who tend to choose minimalist model house designs and use mild steel or aluminum materials for windows and doors.

Of course, this is a challenge for Zulkifli, a resident of Kundur Village. He only produces doors, frames, and windows made of wood.

In fact, the business that has been in business for decades has stopped due to low demand and insufficient capital to procure raw materials.

Nevertheless, Zulkifli is not discouraged from continuing to run this business. After receiving information regarding PT Timah Tbk's Micro Small Business Funding Program (PUMK), he tried to find detailed information to maintain his business.

"After deliberating with my family I decided to take part in the program and immediately complete all the requirements needed," said Zulkifli when met at his business location.

He is grateful that his business can survive with the help of venture capital from PT Timah Tbk. Even though his market share has decreased due to the switch from wood to aluminum, he still has consumers.

" Many people now choose minimalist model houses with doors and windows made of aluminum, but not all people. For wood materials, there is still a market,

For this reason, in order to meet consumer demand in a timely manner, he used the capital loan to buy raw materials such as wood and also other equipment such as router machines, planer machines, and saw blades.

With adequate equipment, he can complete work and requests properly and on time.

"Hopefully that way people won't be disappointed so that my business can continue to grow," he said.

Zulkifli believes that currently there are still many people who remain loyal to wood materials for frames, doors, windows, chairs, and others.

"Alhamdulillah, currently we still have customers, so I'm sure this business will be able to survive and compete," he said.

He felt many benefits by becoming a fostered partner of PT Timah Tbk. He can continue to maintain his business.

"We hope this program can roll over so that it can help people who are going to develop their business because this is very helpful and makes it easier for business people," he said.
