EAST BELITUNG - Batch III 2023 BUMN Volunteers in Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province have completed their mission to carry out social services with PT Timah Tbk from 7-10 March 2023.
Member of the Indonesian MIND ID Mining Industry holding PT Timah Tbk became the PIC of the implementation of the Bakti BUMN in Baru Village, Manggar District, East Belitung Regency.
In carrying out the series of Batch III SOE Volunteer activities, PT Timah Tbk collaborated with the New Village Government, Pokdarwis Serdang Berantai, who contributed to the success of this activity.
Previously, 10 companies participated in the Beltim BUMN Service, namely PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, PT Kereta Api Indonesia, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk, PT Kimia Farma, PT Bio Farma, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia, PT Kilang Pertamina International.
Bakti BUMN volunteers have carried out various activities with the community and for the people of Baru Village, Manggar District.
The representative for BUMN volunteers, Gita Oktaviani, appreciated the Village Government and the Baru Village community for being very kind because they mingle and really live directly near the community.
"Village officials are very warm to welcome us all and the residents are friendly, we feel very good residents here," she said.
According to Gita, they were happy to be able to directly contribute to the people of Desa Baru, and he felt firsthand that the enthusiasm of the community was extraordinary with them, carrying out the Bakti BUMN.
"We saw immediately that they were happy when they received free health services from PT Timah Tbk yesterday," said the employee of PT BSI Tbk.
Gita hopes that PT Timah Tbk's healthy car program will continue to be implemented in East Belitung, in fact, she stated that she really wants to return to contributing to the New Village.
"I hope this program can continue, myself and the volunteers will carry out a follow-up program apart from this Bakti BUMN program," she explained.
Then she also appreciated PT Timah Tbk as the PIC of the implementation of the Beltim BUMN volunteer service, starting from the preparation of the agenda, welcoming, and series of agendas to closing the event.
"Hopefully PT Timah Tbk can be more victorious, advanced, and successful in all program activities, in involving the community," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Pokdarwis Serdang Berantai Toto Iswanto said the BUMN volunteer activities carried out by PT Timah Tbk had a very big impact on tourism.
Moreover, the volunteers come from various regions of Indonesia, of course, this is the momentum to promote the Desa Baru tourist destination.
"Their existence, they are the mouthpiece of our promotion, the little thing they post photos on their respective social media can have a positive impact later," said Toto.
He considered that this activity was very helpful to the community, especially the community to get free medical treatment in PT Timah Tbk's healthy car.
Then, he also appreciated PT Timah Tbk for successfully carrying out BUMN service volunteers in Desa Baru, because this agenda was very beneficial for all people.
According to Toto, the arrival of BUMN volunteers really helped them develop their tourism potential because their tourism production involves the community, such as homestays, and others.
Apart from that, during their activities they always entrust tourism production every day for BUMN service volunteers such as sailing kater boats, waiting for fishermen to return to the sea, grilling fish, and learning to play hadrah and explore mangroves.
