Bakti BUMN Volunteer Batch III Present in East Belitung, Together with PT Timah Tbk Provide Services to the Community

EAST BELITUNG - East Belitung Regency is one of the places where the 2023 Batch III SOE Volunteers will be held.

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises or BUMN will immediately implement the Batch III Bakti BUMN Program which will be implemented from 7 to 10 March 2023.

The Bakti BUMN Volunteer Program is a BUMN collaboration activity in the framework of implementing the BUMN Social and Environmental Responsibility Program for Indonesia.

Member of the Indonesian Mining Industry holding MIND ID PT Timah Tbk became the PIC of the BUMN Service for East Belitung in Baru Village, Manggar District.

As many as 10 BUMN Bakti volunteers from the Company participated in the Beltim BUMN Service, namely PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, PT Kereta Api Indonesia, PT State Electricity Company, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk, PT Kimia Farma, PT Bio Farma, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, PT Indonesian Credit Guarantee, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional.

It is planned that the BUMN volunteers will arrive in Belitung on Tuesday (07/03) and visit the production supervision 5 of Belitung Production Units in Tanjungpandan as well as have a dialogue with the Head of the Belitung Production Unit of PT Timah Tbk.

Then, heading to Beltim to Selinssing Reclamation Village to eat bedulang, to introduce the Belitong tradition, and to Muhammadiyah Elementary School as well as have a dialogue with Muslim women. Then in the evening a friendly meeting with the new Pemdes, Manggar.

On Wednesday (08/03) a series of Bakti BUMN activities were opened and carried out until Friday (10/03).

SOE Volunteer Volunteer Participant, Evander Ferlano Tumbelaka, said the SOE volunteer service will be held from 7 to 10 March 2023 in Baru Village, East Belitung,

"For this activity, on the first day we visited the Baru Village tour," he said.

Then, the central PLN employee continued, on the second day they will carry out BUMN volunteer services, namely healthy car services, and on the third day stunting education in schools.

"My hope is that the community will be helped by our presence, BUMN volunteers throughout the country," he explained.

He hopes that their presence can also bring about better changes to the health of the community itself.

"So that the problem of stunting and health where we volunteer can be resolved soon," he stated.

Meanwhile, the Head of New Village, Husnul Khalik, welcomed the presence of BUMN volunteers in their village. Because it has a very positive impact.

"We, the people of Baru Village, enthusiastically welcome the presence of the BUMN volunteer participants," he said.

According to Husnul, the BUMN volunteer activities in their village could introduce their village to outsiders.

"We hope this activity can be carried out regularly in our village," he said. (**)
