KARIMUN -- The beginning of 2023 was a blessing in itself for Ali Usman (50) and family. The reason is finally they can have an electricity meter. This was after PT Timah Tbk helped install electricity meters for their family.
After installing electricity meters from PT Timah Tbk, they no longer need to ride from the prayer room to light their homes.
Ali's income as a casual laborer is only enough to meet their daily needs. For decades they have connected electricity from the prayer room.
"Actually, there has been a desire to install electricity meters since I occupied this house more than 30 years ago. However, due to limited funds, I abandoned this desire," he said.
He is eternally grateful to have his own electricity meter, because he already feels reluctant to continue connecting to electricity from the prayer room.
"Thank God, I feel happy and helped with the help of installing this electricity meter, because so far it has been connected from the Musula and has been going on for a long time. Actually, I am reluctant. But what is the power to install the meter myself, I haven't been able to," he explained.
He appreciates the assistance from PT Timah Tbk, he said his children will learn brighter because they already have their own electricity meter.
"Thank God, now children can learn more clearly and well. Because with the help from PT Timah, I already have my own meter," he said.
