BANGKA BARAT – PT Timah shared joy with 100 orphans and low-income residents in its operational areas by providing donations.
The donations were handed over by PT Timah’s CEO, Ahmad Dani Virsal, along with the Board of Directors, during the hybrid event for the signing of the tin ingot and the final export release of 2024 at the Majapahit Building in Mentok on Monday, December 30, 2024.
The recipients were visibly delighted as they received this goodwill gesture from PT Timah. The company consistently supports orphans in its operational areas on various occasions.
One of the recipients, Elsa Oktavia (14) from Dusun VI Belo Laut, expressed her gratitude for the assistance.
“I am very thankful to PT Timah for providing this aid,” she said.
Similarly, Kasih (11), a fifth-grade student at Muhammadiyah Elementary School, also shared her gratitude.
“Alhamdulillah, I received assistance from PT Timah again. Previously, I also received a bag and school supplies. Thank you, PT Timah,” Kasih said.
Marzeni, the head of Dusun VII Belo Laut, highlighted that PT Timah’s contributions go beyond assisting orphans, often extending support to other areas.
“In addition to helping orphans, PT Timah often aids residents in social and religious matters, such as assistance for houses of worship, help for sick residents, and support for major celebrations, among others. We hope PT Timah continues its care for the community. Success for PT Timah,” Marzeni remarked.
Yang Harmani, Head of the Aisyiyah Orphanage in Mentok, also expressed her appreciation for PT Timah’s consistent support for orphans and the orphanage.
“We are grateful and thank PT Timah for always caring. They even support the orphanage in various ways. Recently, they helped build a new facility for us. We pray for PT Timah’s continued success and revival to its former glory, as its presence greatly benefits the community,” Yang Harmani said.(**)
